Musica a Un Tasto

Playing music with others using a single switch

The switch advances the melody in time: you can get the note wrong, never the harmony, and you really do play in a group.

Description

The idea is simple: the melody is already written, and the switch advances its notes. The player controls rhythm and expression, not pitch, so the result is musically correct from the very first time — and the person genuinely takes part in a group activity instead of watching it.

Forty melodies with accompaniment are included, and more can be added by importing MIDI files. With several switches connected, up to four people play different parts of the same piece.
