Description

Tap Uno was born to answer a recurring problem: commercial switches have a fixed activation force, often too high for someone with significant muscle weakness and too low for someone with involuntary movements.

The spring can be replaced and a preload screw lets you set activation between 40 and 250 grams with a screwdriver, right in the person's home, during the assessment. Feedback is twofold: a mechanical click you can feel, and an LED that lights when the contact closes — useful for parents and support workers to see whether activation really happened.

The shell is 3D printed in PETG, which stands up to cleaning with alcohol, and the cable leaves through a strain relief, because breakage at the exit point is by far the most common failure in aids of this kind.
