Description
TabTalk is the software heart of the catalogue. It presents symbol grids of 1 to 60 cells per page, with navigation between pages, a sentence bar, reading aloud and a history of the most used phrases.
The part we care about most is the editor. Editing a board has to be possible for a parent in the evening, sitting on the sofa, without a manual: press and hold a cell, type the label, choose or photograph the symbol, record your own voice if you prefer it to synthesis. Changes take effect immediately and can always be undone.
Scanning is built into the application, so no additional software is needed: you choose the type (linear, row-column, group), the dwell time and the number of switches connected. All data stays on the device; exporting a board produces a single file you can move between devices.
